The Daily Oklahoman, 3 March 1983 Owen David Johnson, Age 87, died March 20, 1983, came to Okla. City in 1908. He was born in San Angelo. Served in WWI, was a disabled veteran wounded in action serving in the Signal Corp of the US Army. Was a business man, owned and operated "Snug Harbor" on Lake Overholser from 1939-1976. He amassed one of the largest private record collections in the world and was a champion tournament bridge player. Survived by a son, Owen R. Johnson of OKC; daughter, Jeri Reneau Johnson of the home; grandchildren Richard and Whitney Johnson; nieces and nephews, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Nedbalek, Doug & Bill Hensley [sic.], and Gwyneth Roberts. Services 10am Wednesday, Smith & Kernke Funeral Chapel. Interment Rossville Cemetery, Rossville OK.
