Barnafus Jefferson 'Jeff' Johnson[1] was born on January 1, 1894,[2] in Indian Territory that is now Scraper (Cherokee County), Oklahoma, the son of Mary and her first husband, Jim;[3] Mary remarried in 1896 to Thomas C. Young, I'm unsure what happened to Jim. He married Flora Dozier (1905–1989) on July 25, 1923, in Adair, Oklahoma.[4] He died on December 20, 1949, at the age of 55, and was buried in Kansas, Oklahoma.[5]
