Jane was born in about July 1716 in Duloe, Cornwall. She was the daughter of John (Jagoe) Jago and Rachell (Jenkin) Jago.^[1]

Jane was baptized on 22 July 1716 in Duloe, Cornwall.^[2]

When Jane was 23 she married Thomas Edgcombe on 24 October 1739 in Duloe, Cornwall. The couple had 6 children: Mary Edgcombe, Jane Edgcombe, Rachael Edgcombe, Thomas Edgcombe, William Edgcombe and Jane Edgcombe.^[3]
