Biography

Christina was born on 25 February 1875 (possibly 1874) to George Jack and Elizabeth Potter in Cambusnethan.^[1][2]

She married Robert Russell on 8 December 1893 in Shotts.^[3]

Christina and Robert had seven children:^[3][4]

The 1901 census of Scotland lists the family as living at 15 Old Grey St, Calderhead: Robert Russell, age 35, head Christian [Christina] Russell age 26, wife Lizzie Russell, age 6, daughter Mary Russell, age 4, daughter also: Janet Jack, age 10, Sister (in-law) Lizzie Jack age 16, Sister (in-law) George Jack age 29, Brother (in-law) William Jack, age 21, Brother (in-law)

Christina's father died in 1891 and her mother died shortly after in 1893, which explains why her siblings are living with them in the 1901 census. ^[3]

Robert Russell died in 1918, and Christina moved to the US with her children that were still minors. She later remarried Moses Shaw of Baltimore, Maryland.
