Biography

My family story is crazy, to say the least and I get to thank genealogy for that discovery.

Through genealogy, I have found out;

My Grandmother didn't even know her own birthday.
My mom's biological father is not who we thought (this helped me find a whole bunch of new Aunts and an uncle).
My grandfather on my dad's side had a marriage and kids no one knew about.

All that is just my immediate family. These discoveries helped me find my love for genealogy and I love discovering all the interesting stories of my family.

Thank you for adding sources to Joseph Fletcher McKenzie for me. I have an extensive tree on Ancestry and on my PC but I am really unsure about how to add sources to Wikitree. I suffer from discalculia and I think it affects my ability to understand html or whatever code we are supposed to use to add sources.

I'm a descendant of John Richmond of Taunton MA around 1650 - see my profile at Richmond-4119. He had two sons (I descend from both of them), both of whom have living male descendants named Richmond. Both lines have the Y chromosome haplogroup I-M253.

If you've got a living male Richmond in your family, Y chromosome studies (at familytreeDNA) could demonstrate descent from John Richmond.

There's no Hugh Richmond indexed in Joshua Bailey Richmond's 1897 genealogy, but he didn't follow up a lot of the Tories in John Richmond's descendants.

I'm an 82 year old pathologist in Maryville TN.

Hi Kandita, thanks for editing the format on Randell-787. A couple quick notes, it's important to keep all the relevant information (in this case parents' names) even in a narrative format. It's also important to retain historically accurate place names (this was long before Newfoundland was part of Canada.)
