I am a retired geologist who enjoys solving puzzles and mysteries. My family has done extensive work on many of the family lines so I grew up around fan charts and scrapbooks. An attempt at genealogy went well with a short story on my ancestor Isaac W Taylor and his experience during the War of 1812 . When the pandemic hit I took on Timothy Hutchinson who has been a brick wall for hundreds of years. I am writing a book on Timothy not specifically as a genealogy but as historical fiction based on primary documentation and to a lessor degree secondary sources.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

I'm looking forward to helping you understand how WikiTree works, so all those great Hutchinson sources are contributed to our single family tree. :-)

If you are looking for a general discussion of Quaker beliefs over time and within historical context, a number are available. I find one of the more interesting to be "The Friendly Virginians, America's First Quakers" by Jay Worrall, Jr. (1994, Iberian Publishing, I believe there was a subsequent edition).
Edit: adding that it is important to understand what "disowning" means in Quakerdom as it is very different than that found in other religious societies, it is not a shunning. See https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1400595/understanding-quaker-disownment?show=1400595#q1400595
