Victoriano was born in 1850 in Jalisco, México.[1]. During the reign of Porfirio Diaz, he became a high ranking Military officer. He managed to keep his rank after Madero overthrew Diaz. Then in 1913, Huerta assassinated Madero and became the 35th president of Mexico. His reign was short lived, as he was forced out of office in 1914 by revolutionary forces. Huerta fled to the United States soon after. He passed away in 1916 in Texas- less than two years after he was ousted from power[2].
