Biography
Alexis was born in 1991. She was the daughter of the late Richard Hairston and Patricia Williams.
Alexis Florez Symone Hairston-Young was born August 16, 1991 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to the late Willie Hairston and Patricia Florez Williams.
Alexis was preceded in death by both parents, 3 siblings; Joe Louis Banks Sr (Patrice), Joshua Aaron Winston and Yolanda Eunice Winston. And her grandparents; Edward R Williams (Inez Patterson), Willie Alonzo Hairston (Roxie Harper).
Alexis graduated from Winston-Salem school district and attended a Community College in North Carolina and Columbus, Maryland.
Alexis studied Theatre and took Filming classes for 10 years. And made her debut working with many small commercial’s and also working with Tyler Perry 1 time.
Alexis was 18 when she faithfully joined Southern Baptist Church of Baltimore, Maryland under the leadership of Reverend Higgs.
Alexis faithfully established her own business called “Faithful Kids For Christ” which brought kids together who were wanting to know God for themselves and she took the time to help over 300 children for 16 years.
Alexis helped many youth find their families including her own relatives which was a need in the black community.
On May 7, 2010 at age of 18, Alexis married the love of her life DaMarkus Aaron Young of Cleveland, Ohio. And unto that union came 3 beautiful and smart children; Chloe Inez Young, Andrew Bernard Young, and Paisley Lenaya Young.
Alexis quietly left us peacefully in her sleep at 3:06 AM in Chicago Hospital. She leaves to cherish fond memories with her husband of 13 years DaMarkus Young, 3 children; Chloe, Andrew and Paisley, 1 sister; Crystal Andrea Hairston (Demetrius) of Baltimore , 1 brother; Christopher Lewis Bernard Hairston (Jasmine) of Atlanta, GA, 7 nieces; Derriona, Aniya, Lauren, Taylynn, Winter, Whitney, Chyna, Jaida. 5 nephews; Amir, Ezekiel, Sebastian, Jamal and Jonathan, 2 great nieces; Tylann, Katanjanae, and 2 great nephews; Jonathan Louis III and Hezikiah.
She also leaves 1 aunt; Elvenor Hairston. And her step-father; Charles Winston, close cousins, Linda Hairston, Dorothy Hairston, Rhonda Hines-Hodge, Elijah Harris, and Courtney Harris (Jamal).
She also leave her coworkers from Playbill and many friends and distant relatives, colleagues and chosen aunts and uncles.
