Sgt. William Evans was Killed in Action during World War I.
Sgt William Evans. Kia Amiens 31st March 1918 aged 21 therefore born c.1896/7 (5 in 1901 census). Worcestershire Reg't. Commemorated on a memorial in St James, West Malvern. Mentioned in despatches 18 December 1917. Educ West Malvern School. Employed by Mrs T R Johnson at the Bible Depot, Worcester Road where he was in charge.
