Biography

Clyde was born in 1881. He passed away in 1934.

Clyde's travels:

1919: Sails from Honolulu, Hawaii on December 9, 1919 on the SS Lurline and arrives in San Francisco on December 16, 1919. Evans passengers (age): Clyde D (40)^[1]

1927: Sails from Manila Philippines on April 11, 1927 on the SS President Jackson and arrives in San Francisco on May 6, 1927. Evans passengers (age): Clyde D (47), Helen M (37), Marilyn L (7), Lolita (4), Alton W (2).^[2]

1934:

Helen and Marilyn apparently sail earlier the long way around the world. They probably had many legs of their journey with the last being across the Atlantic. They sail from Southampton on March 16th, 1934 on the SS Hamburg and arrive in New York on March 24th, 1934.^[3]

1934: Sails from Manila Philippines on May 16, 1934 on the SS President Coolidge and arrives in San Francisco on June 7, 1934. Evans passengers (age): Clyde Drury (54), Lolita (11), Alton Wood (9).^[4]

6 days later he dies in Minnesota.

Research Notes

Some discrepancy on his birth year. Find a grave and the grave marker pictured there, has it as 10 Nov 1881, but he appears in the 1880 Census (June 1880) as 7 months old. His passport application from 1920 lists a birthdate of 10 Nov 1879.
