Biography
Nancy (Evans) Walden is a part of US Black heritage.
Nancy aka Nanny was born in 1772. She is also sometimes referenced as "Nanney" in online records. She was the daughter of Charles Evans. She passed away in 1842.
She married Eaton Walden on December 20, 1788. They had at least eight children, six boys and two girls. One of her daughters is named Nancy which seems to corroborate the correct spelling of her first name. It's assumed that "Nanny" is a nick name, one frequently used during those times.
