Biography
Joseph was born in 1890, the son of Herschel Johnson Evans and Idella Newton. He was a locomotive engineer for the Sylvania Central Railroad, married his cousin Mary Charlotte "Lottie" Evans, and passed away in 1962.
Joseph and Mary appear to have been divorced or separated by 1942, when Joseph was working in Tuscon, Arizona with the Southern Pacific Railroad and listed his contact person as a Gertrude H. Lynn in his WW II draft registration form.
