Lynn, hi. I owe you a personal letter. :-) In the meantime, just a WikiTree FYI: I just completed a bio. improvement update on our great-grandfather Isaiah Evans Hindman (1874-1929) . Sorry I didn't get to it sooner, the previous version being a Work-in-Progress with admittedly stupid spelling & grammatical errors due to lack of proof-reading on my part. I've been trying to cover 400 years of our Delvin-Hindman-Pierce-Estey-Randall profiles, which I've clearly emphasized over my Johnson ancestry just because I have a zillion 2nd, 3rd, 4th ad infinitum cousins in the Johnson family line who've worked mutual ancestor profiles in FamilySearch.org and later in the WikiTree system (although there are a lot of errors in the FamilySearch profiles :-( . Unfortunately your mother's ancestor WikiTree profiles need to be worked - my bad!

When you have a few minutes take a look at great-grandfather's profile and feel free to let me know if I left anything out. I tried to subtly emphasize how much the family moved around due to Isaiah's work and also probably due to his lack of perceiving how hard those moves were on the family - a comment made to me repeatedly over the years by grandma Delvin. The lack of attention towards family also explains the situation you may or may not be aware of that existed between our grand-uncle Edward Evans Hindman and our grand-aunt Bertha Edna Hindman. Again, admittedly Isaiah was sick a great deal his entire adult life and I'll be the first to loudly proclaim how emotionally and physically draining that can be. Great grandmother Stella had her hands full and mentored daughter Dorothy (grandma) to 'back-fill' her duties which gives you a clue as to who shaped grandma's personality. Sincerely - Leigh Anne
