Dorothy (de Sélincourt) Milne is Notable.

Dorothy (Daphne) de Sélincourt (1890-1971)^[1][2] was the daughter of Martin Robert de Sélincourt and Mabel Speed, their apparent first child, found in the Battersea/St Mary, Wandsworth district household along with her Aunt Muriel (then 23), and two servants in the 1891 census.^[3]

By 1901, in her parents Kensington, London, Middlesex household, now having four servants, she had the following brothers:^[4]

• Leslie
• Aubrey
• Geoffrey

By 1911, her family of origin had moved to Paddington, London, where Dorothy remained with her three younger brothers, and the number of servants had grown to six.^[5]

In 2nd Quarter 1913, she married Alan A (A A) Milne, playwright and author of the Winnie the Pooh Books, at St George Hanover Square, London.^[6]

Mother of Christopher Robin Milne (ca. 1920-1996).^[7]

She died aged 81 in 1971 in London, England. Find A Grave: Memorial #127958014 lists a death location of Hartfield, Wealden, East Sussex, but one researcher attributes Ancestry Record 7579 #35395394 as showing Mar 1971, Westminster, London, England, citing England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2007.
