Biography

John Lewis Caton was born in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1894, the son of John Caton and Almeda Carlos.

John Caton and Mary Pimentel married in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1916. They had two children.

John Caton was a surfman in the U.S. Coast Guard on Cape Cod.

John Caton and Helen Granger Howes married later in life, a second marriage for both.

John L. Caton died in Massachusetts in 1973. He is buried in the Peoples Cemetery in Chatham, Massachusetts.
