In the 1911 census Ethel (age 19) was the single visitor of Oliver Ormrod in Pickhill Hall Wrexham, Sesswick, Pickhill, Royton and Eyton, Denbighshire, Wales.^[1]

Married 15th Earl of Lauderdale.

In 1912 Ethel married Ian Colin Maitland. The marriage was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1912 in St. George Hanover Square, Middlesex, England.^[2]
