Robert Edwin Bell was born on March 12, 1922 in Bisbee, Cochise, Arizona, United States, son of George Mae Bell (1901–1946) and Louisa Lorena Schlaudt (1903–1952).
Robert died on March 27, 1942 in the sinking of USS Atik, aged 20. He is commemorated at East Coast Memorial, Manhattan, New York County, New York.[1][2] There is an additional memorial in Evergreen Cemetery, Bisbee, AZ.
