I've been interested in genealogy since 1970 when I spent several weeks with my grandmother who had been asking questions about my grandfather's family since the 1930's. Sadly, she didn't ask the same type of questions of her own aunts and uncles. I have traced about half my ancestors back to the 1700's and half of my generation 6 ancestors are still hiding out in the forests of KY and TN. I'm a member of several lineage societies and have over 25 years experience helping other people with their research.

Hi

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Hi Leslie,

I think you're confused. You're not Sourcing if you are creating profiles. That being a Connector. I'd appreciate it if you don't use pay sites on the profiles you connect to my tree. Thank you for the note, Judi Stutz

sorry about the pay sites, I couldn't find the documents on a free site, hopefully what I was able to find helps. Unknown Arello the father of Obispo Arello is what led me to your tree.

Hi Dorothy,

Thank you for your comment. I was sourcing and hit the wrong 'button'. I don't think the work I did qualifies for integrating; I don't really understand that yet. I haven't had time to really learn about all the processes on wikitree. I know record sources for some states pretty well so I'm doing sources. Hopefully things will calm down after Christmas, the college where I teach isn't offering my class next semester so I hope to have more time for wikitree.

Hi Leslie,

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Debi

Thank you Debi. I have access to Rowlett research done by previous generations of genealogists. Almost all Rowlett families in the USA today are descended from the same Peter Rowlett who arrived in Virginia by 1660. One of my goals is to connect orphaned profiles to the family and sort out mistakes. For example, one of the profiles I adopted today shows a birthdate 12 years after the date of death of the man who is linked as his father.

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaborating with members of Pre-1700 Projects is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants. You've made a great start with your message on the profile of Rachel Rowlett Ragsdale
