Biography

Edward Russell Bell was born in Dundee, Forfarshire (present-day Angus), Scotland in 1798, the son of William Bell and Anna Young ^[1]

First marriage

Edward married Sarah Bell on the 26th May 1821 in Swinton and Simprin, Berwick, Scotland.^[2][3]

Second marriage

Edward, now a merchant in London, married Mary Crichton on 21st August 1826 in Dundee, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland.^[4][5]

Membership of the Sandemanian Church

Edward was a member of the Sandemanian Church

Edward was admitted into membership of the London Sandemanian Church on 4th October 1829 according to the membership records. The records state that he was excluded on 17 January 1836 ^[6][7]

Death

He died in 1869, possibly in South Africa.^[8]
