Biography

Benjamin Beall was born on March 5, 1809 in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. He married Caroline Middleton on February 13, 1838 in Washington, District of Columbia, United States,^[1]and they had a daughter, Caroline who died in 1849 at the age of six.

His wife, Caroline died in 1843 after a short illness; he then married Susan A. whose maiden name is unknown. and they had four children.

He was in business in Washington D.C with his brother-in-law Benjamin Franklin Middleton, transacting business as " Middleton and Beall ”, wholesale and retail grocers. Their place of business was on the south side of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Death

Benjamin died on February 4,1891 at the age of 81 in Washington D.C. ^[3] and was buried on February 7 in the Congressional Cemetery. ^[4]
