a variation of Jobe. My own branch used the Job spelling until the 1805-1840 time frame when most were then using the Jobe spelling. See my note on Jobe -above. This is a one-name study for me that I've spent my life researching! I also manage the Job surname DNA project at ftdna and have a huge Job/Jobe website.
